Talk Tuesday May 18
Make a list of all the teachers you have had over the years.
Circle the name of one teacher and tell a story about your favorite memory.
I was a Junior in college. It was the almost the end of the school year and I was looking over my credits needed to graduate. I was just one credit shy of my requirements, it needed to be an elective class, meaning any area of interest.
I had taken a class of Dr. Kelly's in the past, and it made me think. It had been a "Field Study" that had lasted only a week, on site, and fills a full credit. I called Dr. Kelly and told him about my situation, that I was in need of one 'elective credit' in order graduate on time. He quickly told me he has some ideas and to call him back shortly. I called him back and he told me about his plan. His plan allowed me to graduate a full semester early!
Dr. Kelly developed a college class, just for me to earn that one needed credit. He listed it as "Independent Study" and it allowed me to attend seminars that interested me for one weekend. The seminar was all about Science, which was my area of study, all types of amazing topics were offered! All I had to do was write about what I learned at these seminars.
I had several classes with Dr. Kelly at MTSU - a Biology class, on campus, where he taught us about becoming great teachers, Jimmy Buffett and Biology. A Field Study class in Key West where we spent each day as a class snorkeling in the coral reefs and cataloging what we found and much more. I still talk to Dr. Kelly to this day, a good teacher is never forgotten!

Every small child has a favorite toy. When you were a small child, what was your favorite toy, stuffed animal or blanket?
What did it look like? Describe in detail using lots of adjectives. Why did you like it?
Example:
My favorite toy when I was little was a stuffed dog that I named Teddy. Teddy was white, with long floppy ears, pink in the middle. He was about the size of a small kitten, with just as cute of eyes. Teddy was so soft to the touch!
I could not fall asleep at night if I didn't have Teddy. Any time we took a vacation, or even just a long car ride, I had to have Teddy with me. Teddy made me feel comfy and snuggly. I still have Teddy today, and always will.

Imagine your life in ten years. What do you think you will be like? What will you be doing?
(Remember to copy prompt and date)
EXAMPLE:
In ten years I think my life will have changed a lot! In ten years I will be 55, which is hard to imagine. I think I will be a grandmother by then. I picture myself with grandchildren visiting my house on the weekends. I will have toys and candy always ready for when they visit. Sunday family dinners will happen every week; we will need a bigger dining room table! I will still be a teacher, and loving every minute of it. My old students will come to visit me in my classroom; and I will send them to the treat basket in my cupboard every time! My hair will be grayer, and I may be a little rounder in ten years but I will definitely be happy!
